『愛媛の酒を楽しむ会』に2019 Miss SAKE 春田早重が参加して参りました。

皆様、こんにちは。2019 Miss SAKEの春田早重です。



オープニングの際、出展蔵元の皆様がステージに登壇され、皆様を代表し、愛媛県酒造協同組合理事長 越智浩様からご挨拶を賜りました。 その後、島田律子様より乾杯のご発声を賜り、会が始まりました。

Hello, everyone. I am Sae Haruta, 2019 Miss SAKE Japan.

On August 28th, I participated in the evening party to enjoy sake made in Ehime prefecture at HAPPO-EN.

This event has been very popular since 2009, which was the first year to be held. It is because you can enjoy various kinds of sake made in Ehime prefecture in Tokyo. This year, 14 breweries in Ehime prefectures joined this party and 320 people attended it.

At the beginning, brewers from each brewery got on the stage, and Mr. Hiroshi Ochi, the chief director of the brewers association in Ehime, gave us his speech on behalf of brewers in Ehime prefecture. After that, Ms. Ritsuko Shimada, a sake stylist, gave a toast, and the party started.

The guests went around the brewers booths as soon as the party began. I also visited some booths and served the guests great sake.

In the middle of the party, a lottery was held, and I played a part of presenter. The guests were being so excited to get premium gifts.

And I learned a lot about sake made in Ehime prefecture through joining this party.

There are 39 breweries in Ehime prefecture and most of them brew their sake on small scale.

Sake brewed carefully while keeping the traditional brewing method have won the first prize at the National Research Institute of Brewing many times.

The secret of the deliciousness of sake made in Ehime prefecture is in its privileged land surrounded by mountains and seas.

①Clean underground water from Shikoku mountains.

In Ehime prefecture, there is a highest mountain in west Japan called Ishizuchi mountain, and brewers can get clean underground water from there. Also, a lot of snow falls in Shikoku mountains during winter, and a cold wind blows down the outskirt of the country. So there is a suitable environment for brewing sake in Ehime prefecture.

②Seafood throughout a year from the Seto Inland Sea and Uwakai Sea.

The blessing of the sea where you can get delicious seafood is one of the factors that brewers in Ehime make greats sake. Brewers have tried to make sake that matches great seafood caught locally.

I had a great time with the guests who told me about Ehime prefecture a lot.

I would like to show my gratitude to all the brewers who joined this party, everyone from the Brewers Association in Ehime, the guests.
