2022 Miss SAKE Hyogo paid a courtesy visit to Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd.

6/6に兵庫県神戸市東灘区にある白鶴酒造株式会社様、白鶴酒造資料館様に、2022 Miss SAKE 兵庫大会実行委員会（日本テクノロジーソリューション株式会社）宮﨑様、弊社団 大西美香 代表理事同行のもと訪問させていただきましたことをご報告いたします。

白鶴酒造株式会社様へ

『白鶴 まる！』でお馴染みの「まる」を主力銘柄とし、業界No.1の売上・製造量、海外輸出を誇る白鶴酒造株式会社様。

弊社団の顧問でもあり、日本酒酒造組合制度委員会 委員長、灘五郷酒造組合 理事長も務めておられる 白鶴酒造株式会社 代表取締役社長 嘉納 健二様へ、2022 Mr. SAKE Finalist 山﨑友輔さんと共にご挨拶に伺いました。

蔵人の経験を通して感じた日本酒への想いを嘉納社長へ直接お伝えさせていただいた上に、日本酒をどう若い世代へ広げるのか、私が留学していた東南アジア圏への日本酒の展開の現状などお話は多岐に渡り、このような機会を頂戴できたことは身に余る光栄でございました。

白鶴酒造資料館様へ

併設している白鶴酒造資料館様も見学させていただき、白鶴酒造資料館館長の髙田昌和様ご案内のもと、白鶴酒造様の軌跡を辿らせていただきました。

今回の資料館や先日のナデシコプログラムで伺った白鶴銀座天空農園様にて学んだのは、白鶴酒造様がこれまで牽引して来られた「品質の高い日本酒を安定して供給する」重要性でした。

「機械造りだしパックだから、こだわっていないんでしょう。」常に品質の高い日本酒を提供されているからこそ、そのような誤解も持たれてしまうのだそうです。言わずもがな、白鶴酒造様の功績は国内外で称えられておりますが、そのような誤解があることに対してとてももどかしく感じました。

この度も白鶴酒造様の軌跡を知り、嘉納社長や社員の皆様から直接お話を伺うと、沢山のこだわりや想いが詰まっていることを改めて知ることができました。誠に僭越ながら、Miss SAKEとして私に出来ることは何か考えた際、皆様の想いや声をお伝えすることなのではないかと辿り着きました。

この度は貴重なお時間をいただき、表敬訪問を実現させてくださった白鶴酒造株式会社 代表取締役社長 嘉納健二様、ならびに関係者の皆様に心より御礼申し上げます。

Hello everyone, I’m Rico Kiyosu, 2022 Miss SAKE Hyogo. I am pleased to report that we visited Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd and Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum in Higashi Nada-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo prefecture on 6 June, accompanied by our representative director Mrs.Mika Onishi.

Visiting Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd 

I paid a courtesy visit with 2022 Mr SAKE Finalist Yusuke Yamazaki to Mr.Kenji Kano, president of Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd who is also an advisor of our association, Chairman of the Sake Brewers Association System Committee and President of the Nada Gogo Sake Brewers Association.

Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd -the industry’s No.1 sales and production, as well as overseas exports- is known as its main product ‘Maru’. We were honoured to have this opportunity to be able to talk directly with Mr.Kano about our thoughts on sake, how to expand sake to the younger generation and the current state of sake development in South East Asia where I used to stay.

We also visited the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum guided by Mr. Masakazu Takada, Director of the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum and tracked the history of them. What we learnt at Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku-noen, which we visited for the Nadeshiko program, was the importance of “providing a stable supply of high-quality sake”, which Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd has been working on.

‘They aren’t committed to sake brewing since it’s machine-made and packed in paper bottles.’ People have the misconception that they do not roll up their sleeves.This was led because we have always been offered high quality sake. Needless to say, their achievements have been praised both in Japan and abroad, but I felt very frustrated that such misconceptions existed. If people should track Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd’s history and hear their thoughts directly from Mr.Kano and the employees, people will never come to a conclusion like that. I found my mission and what I could do as Miss SAKE, I need to convey everyone’s thoughts and opinions to the world.

I would like to greatly appreciate Mr.Kenji Kano, and everyone involved for making this courtesy visit happen.
