皆さま、こんにちは。2025 Miss SAKE Japan 館農知里です。6/22(日) 大阪・関西万博「ルーマニアパビリオン」に、2023 Miss SAKE Japan 山田琴子とともに表敬訪問させていただきました。
このパビリオンは、「ルーマニア、明日の国」というテーマのもと、視覚や聴覚などの五感を刺激する没入型の体験が特徴です。今回は、館長やルーマニアで日本語を学ぶ学生スタッフの方々とともに、パビリオン内を周遊させていただきました。
まずは、伝統的な民族音楽のBGMとともに、ルーマニアの豊かな自然、伝統工芸、画期的なテクノロジーの変遷を描いた映像展示が来場者を出迎えます。その途中では、映像に合わせた楽器の生演奏もあり、訪問時にはピアノとトランペットの共演による伝統音楽を楽しむことができました。来場者全員で刻々と変化するリズムに合わせて手拍子をする時間は、国や言語を超えて繋がれる貴重な経験になりました。またその後は、2階スペースに移動し、伝統的な刺繍や民族文様、絵画のスケッチ体験や、小型人工心臓やデータ転送といった最新テクノロジーを体験できるブースもありました。アーティストやサイエンティストの方々と直接対話をしながら、ルーマニアの人々の創造性や温かい国民性にも触れることが出来ました。
ルーマニアでは、日本のアニメや漫画がすごく人気で、日本語を勉強している学生も多くいるそう。そんな私自身も本業である日本文化コーディネーターとして、今年の夏にルーマニアにて学生文化交流プログラムを開催する予定です。日本から遠く離れた東欧の国ルーマニアの魅力を肌で感じられるこの空間に、是非多くの方に足を運んでいただきたいと思います。そして、Miss SAKEとして、これから東欧の国々にも日本酒や日本文化の魅力を広く伝えていきたいと改めて感じる機会になりました。

Hello everyone, this is Chisato Tateno, 2025 Miss SAKE Japan.
On Sunday, June 22, I had the honor of paying a official visit to the “Romania Pavilion” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, together with Kotoko Yamada, 2023 Miss SAKE Japan.
This pavilion, themed “Romania, the Country of Tomorrow,” offers an immersive, multi-sensory experience that stimulates the five senses, including sight and sound. We toured the pavilion with the director and student staff members from Romania who are studying Japanese.
The journey began with a video exhibition accompanied by traditional Romanian folk music, highlighting the country’s rich natural landscapes, traditional crafts, and advances in innovative technology. During the experience, we were also treated to live musical performances—including a beautiful collaboration between piano and trumpet—that added depth and emotion to the atmosphere. At one point, all the visitors clapped in rhythm with the evolving music, creating a special moment of connection that transcended nationalities and language.
We then explored the second floor, where booths offered hands-on experiences like sketching traditional embroidery and patterns, as well as interactive displays of cutting-edge technologies such as miniature artificial hearts and data transmission systems. Through conversations with artists and scientists, I was able to witness firsthand the creativity and warmth of the Romanian people.
I also learned that Japanese anime and manga are incredibly popular in Romania, and many students are studying Japanese. As a Japanese culture coordinator myself, I plan to host a cultural exchange program for students in Romania this summer. I wholeheartedly encourage many people to visit this space, where the charm of Romania—a country in Eastern Europe, far from Japan—can truly be felt. This visit also reaffirmed my desire, as Miss SAKE, to share the beauty of sake and Japanese culture more widely throughout Eastern Europe and beyond.
