Thank you very much for your continued warm understanding and support of the activities of the Miss SAKE Association.
Today, we would like to share an important update and request regarding Shu Sake Corporation, a sake retailer with whom our representative, Mika Onishi, has had a long-standing relationship since her previous career working at a sake brewery. With this purpose, we are publishing this article.
About Shu Sake Corporation
Shu Sake Corporation is a sake specialty retailer located in the Nakanobu shopping district of Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. With approximately 90% of its offerings dedicated to sake, the company is highly specialized and has built direct relationships with more than 50 breweries across Japan. Regardless of fame or scale, Shu Sake Corporation has consistently selected and introduced sake based on one guiding principle: truly excellent quality.
In addition to paid in-store tastings, the company has actively contributed to the promotion and development of sake culture through initiatives such as events including “Jizake-michi” and the “Shu Sake Grand Sake Festival,” sake seminars, restaurant supervision, and consulting services for sake breweries. Through these efforts, Shu Sake Corporation has played a significant role in sharing the appeal of Japanese sake with a wide audience.
As the Miss SAKE Association, we have also gained many valuable insights and connections through their sincere and continuous commitment to communicating the charm of sake.

Despite facing the immense challenge of a fire, Shu Sake Corporation continues to move forward by drawing strength from the trust it has built with sake breweries and the connections it has cultivated with people who love sake. Their passion for carrying sake culture into the future remains strong, including plans to hold the Shu Sake Grand Sake Festival on Sunday, May 17.
We sincerely ask for your continued warm support and cooperation.
Japanese sake culture is sustained through the mutual support of breweries, retailers, restaurants, and those who enjoy sake. It is our hope that this incident will not mark an “end” for Shu Sake Corporation, but rather serve as a step toward a new beginning. As the Miss SAKE Association, we express our heartfelt support and encouragement.
