On August 10, Namika Tsukahara, 2019 Miss SAKE runner-up participated in the “kurabiraki” of Sasaki sake brewery in Rakuchu, Kyoto, which means the opening of a sake brewery of the year.

皆様こんにちは。
2019 Miss SAKE 準グランプリの塚原菜実香です。
8月10日、京都洛中 佐々木酒造様の蔵開きに参加させていただきました。
佐々木酒造様は明治26年創業、京都中心部にある唯一の酒蔵様でいらっしゃいます。
佐々木酒造様はかつて豊臣秀吉が自身の家である聚楽第を建てた跡地南端に位置しており、茶道が趣味であった秀吉お墨付きの「水の良さ」が特徴的な地域にございます。
そして、その水の良さからかつては京都洛中にも数多くの酒蔵様が建っていらっしゃいましたが、その数は激減し、現在では佐々木酒造様が京都中心部にある唯一の酒蔵様になられたとのことです。
その洛中での酒造りを残すべく、「洛中伝承」という洛中における酒造りの伝承を守り続ける精神で、佐々木酒造様は現在も日本酒を造っていらっしゃいます。
蔵開きでは、佛教大学のインターン生の方々が企画・運営を行っていらっしゃり、フルートと伴奏による素晴らしいミニコンサートやミニライブ、酒蔵見学、利き酒、クイズなど様々な催しがございました。

私も皆様と一緒に参加させていただき、非常に楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました。
酒蔵見学では杜氏様が蔵の中を案内してくださり、佐々木酒造様の素晴らしい日本酒の数々が生まれる場を直に拝見でき、非常に感動いたしました。
そして僭越ながら、お食事の前に私が乾杯のご挨拶をさせていただきました。
蔵開きというおめでたい場で、皆様と乾杯をさせていただけたことを心より光栄に存じております。
京都府京都市長 門川大作様と
今回佐々木酒造様の蔵開きに参加させていただいたことで、酒蔵様の歴史やこだわりを肌で感じることができました。そして改めて、日本酒とは造り手の思いが込められているお酒であるということを痛感し、その日本酒の魅力を世界中の一人でも多くの方々に知っていただきたいという思いが一層強くなりました。
佐々木酒造の皆様、関係者の皆様、この度は素敵な時間を誠にありがとうございました。

Hello, everyone.
I am Namika Tsukahara, 2019 Miss SAKE runner-up.
On August 10, I participated in the “kurabiraki” of Sasaki sake brewery in Rakuchu, Kyoto, which means the opening of a sake brewery of the year.
Sasaki sake brewery was established in 1893, and is the only sake brewery in the center area of Kyoto.
The place of Sasaki sake brewery is located to south of the used place of general Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s house, and since his hobby was tea ceremony, this place is famous for its beautiful water.
In Rakuchu, Kyoto, there used to be a lot of sake breweries because of the clear water, but they sharply decreased and now Sasaki sake brewery is the only one which remains in the area.
In order to pass down the original way of making sakes in Rakuchu, Sasaki sake brewery continues to make great sakes based on the philosophy called “Rakuchu Densho”, which means passing down the original way of making sakes in Rakuchu.
In the kurabiraki, students from Bukkyo University managed many events such as a flute concert, a live, a quiz competition, a tour of the brewery, and sake tasting.
I really enjoyed those events and spent great time with the participants.
In the tour of the sake brewery, a chief brewer explained the way of making sake, and I was impressed to see the place where great sakes are brewed.
And it was an honor that I could give a toast with everyone at the joyous event, kurabiraki.
Through the kurabiraki, I was able to realize that sakes contain the history and a thing of each sake brewery, and I strongly want people all over the world to know how powerful and great charms sakes have.
People of Sasaki sake brewery and all the people involved, thank you very much for the great experience.
