2024 Miss SAKE鳥取 林原有香です。

７月５、６日に池袋サンシャインシティ文化会館ビルにて開催されました、第16回全国日本酒フェアに参加してまいりました。

 

全国日本酒フェアは、日本酒造組合中央会様が主催され、沖縄と鹿児島以外の45都道府県ごとに出展される世界最大の日本酒イベントです。

世界最大の日本酒イベントということで、各地域それぞれテーマを掲げ、様々な地域の多種多様な日本酒に出会える機会があることも大変魅力となっております。

他にも、日本酒初心者の方向けのコーナー、海外の方向けのコーナー、酒蔵ツーリズムについてのコーナーも設けられそちらも多くの方で賑わっておりました。また、同時に「令和5酒造年度全国新酒鑑評会公開きき酒会」と「日本酒セミナー」も開催されており、ビギナーの方からプロの方まで楽しんでいただけるイベントとなっておりました。

イベントへの参加目的は皆様それぞれございましたが、日本酒を通じて初対面の方同士でも気さくにお話されていたり、同じ日本酒を飲まれて意気投合されていらっしゃったり、会場内で多くの酒縁の生まれる場面も印象的でした。

2日目の7月6日はMiss SAKE 9名にて参加させていただき、それぞれの地域のＰＲをさせていただきました。

私の代表県である鳥取県は「酒は純米、燗ならなお良し」というテーマを掲げ、全国のブースのうち唯一、冷酒の他に燗酒も提供させていただきました。

この日は都内も30℃超えの猛暑で、燗酒を飲んでくださる方がいらっしゃるのか内心不安ではありましたが、「暑くても燗酒」「暑いからこそ燗酒！」とおっしゃる方も多く、両日ともに大盛況でございました。お蔭様で私の燗付けスキルも上達したように思います。

鳥取県産の酒米であり、鳥取県のみで栽培されている「強力米（ごうりきまい）」を使用した日本酒を始め、スパークリング日本酒、シェリー樽での熟成日本酒、世界的コンペティションでの受賞酒、多種多様な燗酒等、私もまだいただいたことのない地元の日本酒もあり、酒蔵の皆さまがお客様にお勧めされる際のお話からも多くを学ばせていただきました。

鳥取県のお酒のファンで迷わずブームにいらっしゃってくださる方、鳥取県の日本酒を飲んだことが無いので飲んでみたいとおっしゃる方、以前鳥取に仕事で滞在されていらっしゃった際に飲まれていた地酒を懐かしそうに楽しんでいらっしゃる方、様々なきっかけで鳥取の日本酒に触れていただくことができ、お客様、酒蔵様とお話させていただきながらこちらも大変嬉しく充実した時間を過ごさせていただきました。

 また、お客様の中には、私が過去に海外の方に日本酒をおすすめした際に、Wow!とともに溢れる笑顔にとても感動したことで、“世界で多くの感動の一口「Wow!」を産み出したい！”という想いをこれまでYouTube自己紹介動画等でお伝えしていたのを覚えてくださっていた方もいらっしゃり大変感激いたしました。

「鳥取の日本酒のみならず、今回のイベントでWow!の瞬間がたくさんあったよ！」とお声がけいただき、私自身今回イベントに参加させていただいたことでその方の感動の一口に出会うきっかけの一助となれたことは大変有難いことでした。

県外・国外の皆さまとも、鳥取県について、日本酒についてお話させていただく機会に恵まれたことで、今後更に鳥取、および日本酒のＰＲを多方面で行っていきたいという想いを強く持ちました。

そのような機会を積極的に求めると同時に自らも計画し、世界中で感動の一口Wow!を生み出していきたいと思います。

2024 Miss SAKE Tottori participated in the 16th All Japan Sake Fair

 

Hi, everyone.

I am Yuka Hayashibara, 2024 Miss SAKE Tottori.

On July 5th and 6th, I participated in the 16th All Japan Sake Fair held at the Sunshine City Cultural Center Building in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

The All Japan Sake Fair, organized by the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association, is the world’s largest sake event, featuring exhibits from 45 prefectures excluding Okinawa and Kagoshima. This event is highly attractive as each region presents its theme, offering opportunities to encounter a diverse array of sake from various regions.

Additionally, there were sections for sake beginners, international visitors, and sake brewery tourism, all bustling with many participants.

Concurrently, the “Annual Japan Sake Awards 2024 Public Tasting” and the “Sake Seminar” were held, making it an event enjoyable for both beginners and professionals.

Participants attended for various purposes, but it was impressive to see how sake facilitated friendly conversations among strangers and created many bonds over shared drinks.

On the second day, July 6th, nine Miss SAKE representatives participated, promoting their respective regions.

For my representing prefecture, Tottori, we promoted the theme “Junmai-shu sake: even better to drink warm”. Tottori was the only booth among all the exhibits to offer warmed sake (called Kanzake:燗酒) in addition to sake served at room temperature and chilled sake.

Despite the intense heat exceeding 30°C in Tokyo on this day, many people expressed a preference for warmed sake, saying, “Warm sake is enjoyable even in this hot weather!” or “It is precisely because it is hot that warmed sake is so delicious in that heat temperature!” 

Both days were very successful, and I believe my sake-warming skills have improved through the event.

They showcased a variety of sake, including those made with “Gourikimai,” a sake rice cultivated only in Tottori, sparkling sake, sake aged in sherry barrels, award-winning sake from international competitions, and various warm sake. I also learned a lot from the brewers’ recommendations to customers. 

We had visitors who were big fans of Tottori sake and came straight to our booth, those who had never tried Tottori sake and wanted to taste it, and those who nostalgically enjoyed Tottori sake they had while staying in Tottori for work. I had a wonderful time engaging with visitors and brewers, sharing the joy of Tottori sake.

Additionally, I was deeply moved to meet visitors who remembered my message from a YouTube introduction video at Miss SAKE Channel (link below), where I expressed my desire to create many moments of “Wow!” worldwide by introducing sake. They told me, “Not only Tottori sake, but I had many ‘Wow!’ moments at this event,” which made me very grateful to be part of their experience.

 Having the opportunity to discuss Tottori and sake with people from outside the prefecture and abroad has strengthened my decision to promote Tottori and sake more widely. I will actively seek and plan opportunities to create moments of “Wow!” through sake around the world.
