この度は、タイ・バンコクで初開催の「2025 Miss SAKE Thailand」大会に、初代Miss SAKE 森田真衣さん同行のもと、Miss SAKE 秋田の嶋宮里紗が参加させていただきましたので、ご報告いたします。
2025年8月31日(日)、タイのバンコクにあるEmsphereの14階で開催された「SAKE WEEK THAILAND 2025」のイベント内で「2025 Miss SAKE Thailand」が初めて開催されました。2025 Miss SAKE Thailandに出場できる条件は、タイ国籍の20歳以上の女性で、日本酒を含めた日本文化に興味のある方であること。そして、日本とタイの伝統文化を深く学び発信するアンバサダーとして活躍できる、日本とタイを繋ぐ架け橋になりたい方です。
候補者として最終審査に残ったのは、合計7名でした。

2025 Miss SAKE Thailand大会では、各候補者の自己紹介・自己PRの審査と質疑応答の審査が行われ、下記審査員５名により個人のパーソナリティや印象・コミュニケーションスキル・言語力・自己PRのパフォーマンス力などの項目で点数が付けられ、「2025 Miss SAKE Thailand」を決定いたしました。

2025 Miss SAKE Thailand大会のオープニングでは、高知県の企業である旭食品株式会社の「旭食品よさこい祭り」が披露され、華やかな黄色の衣裳と鳴子を手に迫力満点なよさこいを見ることができました。日本の伝統あるお祭りがタイで披露されることにより、日本がお祭りを通して大切にしている人と人とがつながる一体感や、強いエネルギーをタイの皆様にも感じていただけたのではないかと大変嬉しく思いました。
「旭食品よさこい祭り」後、候補者の自己紹介・自己PRの審査が行われました。
自己紹介・自己PR時には、日本に対する敬意と愛、そしてタイの伝統文化を継承したいという強い想いが感じられました。日本酒が作られる過程を、日本の国旗を彷彿とさせる白と赤の扇子を用いてコンテンポラリーダンスで表現したり、日本語での歌唱したり、日本の曲に合わせてタイの伝統的な踊りを披露したりと、様々な形で日本とタイの文化の融合が見られるパフォーマンスを披露いただきました。
また、質疑応答の時間では、候補者自らが質問が書かれた紙の番号を選び、ランダムに表示される質問に対して回答されました。「日本とタイの文化アンバサダーとして、どんな役割を担いたいですか？」や「日本人に対してタイの魅力をどのように伝えたいか」など、日本とタイを繋ぐ架け橋になる人にふさわしい方かを見極める質問がされました。候補者の皆様は、日本とタイへの想いを交えながら、アンバサダーとしての自覚を感じられるほど堂々と回答されていました。
自己紹介・自己PRの審査結果と質疑応答の審査結果を終えて、栄えある「2025 Miss SAKE Thailand」に選ばれたのは、サワンヤ ホーグイさんです。サワンヤ ホーグイさん（愛称：ムックさん）は、現在21歳の学生で、過去に福岡県に留学していた経験もあり、日本語が堪能です。自己PR時には、タイの伝統的な歌を披露し、日本の演歌を思わせる抑揚のある堂々とされた歌唱を披露されました。サワンヤ ホーグイさんには、賞金のほか副賞として「浴衣」が贈られました。
また、審査員特別賞には、プンヤニュッシュ ウォラニティポンさんが選ばれました。プンヤニュッシュ ウォラニティポンさんは、日本酒がつくられる過程に感銘を受け、Miss SAKE Thailandに応募されました。自己PR時には、コンテンポラリーダンスを通して日本酒がつくられる物語を見事に表現していました。プンヤニュッシュ ウォラニティポンさんには、副賞として「HEVEN SAKE 純米吟醸 アズール レジス・カミュ×七賢」が贈られました。
大会終了後、「2025 Miss SAKE Thailand」に選ばれたサワンヤ ホーグイさんと「SAKE WEEK THAILAND 2025」のイベント内の日本酒ブースを周遊させていただきました。その際には、サワンヤ ホーグイさんに対して、簡単な日本酒のご説明とアンバサダーとしての立ち居振る舞いをお伝えいたしました。今後、彼女の活動や発信により、タイの方々が日本酒を含めた日本文化に対する関心を高めていただくことを心より期待しております。

Hello everyone, my name is Risa Shimamiya, 2025 Miss SAKE Akita.
I am pleased to share a report on my participation in the inaugural 2025 Miss SAKE Thailand competition in Bangkok, Thailand, accompanied by the first Miss SAKE Japan, Mai Morita. The event was held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, on the 14th floor of Emsphere as part of SAKE WEEK THAILAND 2025.
The eligibility requirements for 2025 Miss SAKE Thailand were as follows:
- Thai nationality
- Women aged 20 and above
- Interest in Japanese culture, including sake
- Willingness to serve as an ambassador who learns and promotes both Japanese and Thai traditions, acting as a bridge between the two countries.
A total of seven finalists were selected for the final screening. The competition included self-introduction and self-promotion segments, followed by a Q&A session. The five judges evaluated each contestant’s personality, presence, communication skills, language ability, and performance.

The opening performance of the event featured the “Asahi Shokuhin Yosakoi Festival”, presented by Asahi Shokuhin Co., Ltd. from Kochi Prefecture. With vibrant yellow costumes and naruko clappers, the dancers delivered a powerful and dynamic yosakoi performance. It was deeply moving to see this traditional Japanese festival celebrated in Thailand, conveying to the audience the strong sense of unity and energy that Japanese festivals cherish.
After the yosakoi performance, the self-introduction and self-promotion segment began. The contestants expressed their respect and affection for Japan, along with a strong determination to preserve Thai traditions. Performances included contemporary dances using red and white fans symbolizing the Japanese flag to portray the sake brewing process, singing in Japanese, and traditional Thai dances set to Japanese music. These showcased a beautiful fusion of Japanese and Thai cultures.
During the Q&A session, contestants randomly selected questions written on cards and answered them on the spot. Questions included, “As a cultural ambassador between Japan and Thailand, what role would you like to play?” and “How would you introduce Thailand’s charm to the Japanese people?” Each candidate responded confidently and passionately, reflecting their sense of responsibility as future cultural ambassadors.
After the judging, the prestigious title of 2025 Miss SAKE Thailand was awarded to Ms. Sawanya Hoguy. She is a 21-year-old student fluent in Japanese, having previously studied abroad in Fukuoka Prefecture. For her self-promotion, she performed a traditional Thai song with expressive modulation reminiscent of Japanese enka, leaving a strong impression. Along with prize money, she received a yukata as a supplementary award.
The Special Jury Prize was awarded to Ms. Punyanyush Voranitiphong. Deeply inspired by the sake brewing process, she applied for Miss SAKE Thailand and expressed the story of sake-making through a contemporary dance performance. As her prize, she received HEAVEN SAKE Junmai Ginjo Azur Régis Camus × Shichiken.
Following the competition, I had the opportunity to accompany Ms. Sawanya Horgui, the newly crowned Miss SAKE Thailand, around the sake booths at SAKE WEEK THAILAND 2025. During this time, I provided her with a brief introduction to sake and guidance on her role as an ambassador. I sincerely hope that through her future activities and outreach, the people of Thailand will develop an even greater interest in Japanese culture, including sake.
