Smiles and Conversations Sparked by a Single Cup
This time, I mainly assisted at the booths of Kawabu Jozo (Taki, brand: “Hokosugi”) and Hayakawa Shuzo (Komono, brand: “Tabika”), helping guests enjoy tastings from various breweries. The festival welcomed a wide range of visitors—from devoted sake lovers who brought their own masu cups to those who rarely drink sake. We introduced many varieties, from light and fruity brews to rich and full-bodied ones, based on each guest’s preferences.
Many people commented, “This is the most delicious sake I’ve ever had,” and some returned repeatedly to enjoy their newfound favorites. I was delighted to stand at the forefront of promoting sake as an approachable and beloved beverage, connecting directly with so many attendees.

Listening to Women’s Voices
At the Linkage Co., Ltd. booth, we also carried out awareness activities addressing women’s health challenges, including the Menstrual Pain Simulation Experience and Koji Skincare Trials (koji hand packs and lotions). Many women and families stopped by the booth. Using slides and materials, we first explained the simulation activities previously held at the Kyoto Health Room and Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Visitors then experienced the koji-based hand packs and lotions firsthand.
Participants shared encouraging feedback such as:
“I’d love for my husband to try the menstrual pain simulator.”
“I want to try making koji lotion at home.”
These positive responses reminded me of the importance of sharing awareness around women’s health and the natural benefits of sake and koji.
Through the Mie Local Sake Festival at Suzuka Grand Festival, I once again felt the profound power of sake and koji to bring people together and convey the unique charm of each region.
As Miss SAKE, I will continue to promote not only cultural exchange through sake but also initiatives that support women’s health and lifestyles—striving to be a presence that contributes meaningfully to society.
