I am Chisato Tateno, Miss SAKE Japan 2025.

We are pleased to announce that the “2026 Miss SAKE Recruitment Poster” is displayed at major post offices across Japan. This poster aims to introduce the philosophy of Miss SAKE, an ambassador initiative dedicated to sharing the appeal of Japanese sake and Japanese culture both domestically and internationally, while also encouraging women who hold a deep appreciation for sake and Japanese culture to take a courageous step forward and embrace a new challenge.

On this occasion, I visited the Shibuya Post Office myself. Seeing the poster in person was a truly inspiring experience—it naturally made me stand a little taller and feel a renewed sense of purpose. I sincerely hope that this single poster will serve as a catalyst for new companions who love Japanese sake and Japanese culture and who wish to carry these traditions into the future.

Selection Criteria
Women with a genuine interest in Japanese sake and Japanese culture
Women with a strong awareness of and commitment to social contribution
Women who possess a global perspective
Women who strive to cultivate inner and outer beauty

Eligibility Requirements
Aged 20 to 39 as of April 1, 2025
Unmarried women
Must hold Japanese nationality
＊No height requirement
＊No swimsuit judging
＊Applications may be submitted with photographs in Western attire (kimono is not required)

Prize & Responsibilities
Grand Prize: ¥3,000,000
The winner will serve as 2026 Miss SAKE Japan, engaging in ambassador activities both in Japan and overseas
＊Please note: Ambassador activities are unpaid; all necessary expenses related to official activities will be covered by the organization

Miss SAKE is an ambassador program conducted without swimsuit judging or height restrictions, placing great importance on each woman’s individuality and values. In addition to supporting the growth of the sake industry, Miss SAKE is committed to the preservation and global promotion of Japanese culture, as well as to social contribution. The display of this poster was made possible through a rigorous review process that recognized these principles and their social significance. I am truly delighted that this opportunity allows more people to learn about the meaning and value of Miss SAKE’s activities.
