2023 Miss SAKE 山田琴子です。

先日、7月20日にザキャピトルホテル東急「鳳凰」で開催された「古川元久とともに明日を創る会」に、2023 Miss SAKE 準グランプリの森川裕希恵さんとともに参加させていただきました。

この会の主催であります衆議院議員・古川元久様は、愛知県名古屋市のご出身で、本年のMiss SAKE 愛知大会にもご来場いただき、温かいご支援のお言葉をいただきました。

古川様は、私たちMiss SAKEを常に応援してくださり、特に国家戦略担当大臣としてご活躍された際には、ご任期中に「ENJOY JAPANESE KOKUSHU(國酒を楽しもう)」プロジェクトを通じて日本酒の国内外への普及に尽力されました。

このプロジェクトでは、日本酒・焼酎を、日本の気候風土、日本人の忍耐強さ・丁寧さ・繊細さを象徴した、いわば「日本らしさの結晶」であるものであると定義しており、この素晴らしい「國酒」を、オールジャパンで官・民が連携し、日本酒・焼酎の魅力の認知度の向上と輸出促進に取り組まれていらっしゃいました。

古川様のおかげで、日本酒がより多くの人々に知られるきっかけが生まれたことは、私たちMiss SAKEにとっても大きな励みとなっております。

私達は、今回古川様と乾杯の音頭を取るお役目をいただきました。また、Miss SAKEの国内外での様々な活動や、日本酒の外交のツールとしての可能性、そして古川様とのご縁についてお話をさせていただきました。

多くの方々に私たちの活動に興味を持っていただき、温かい応援のお言葉をいただいたことは、今後の活動に向けて大きな力となりました。

この日は、会場に古川様のご出身である愛知県の日本酒を含む様々な日本酒が振舞われ、私たちも日本酒ブースにて日本酒のご紹介をさせていただきました。

会では、さまざまな背景や分野で活躍されている方々が、自分の熱い思いを日本酒を片手に語り合い、共有なさっていらっしゃいました。それぞれが抱く日本への思いは多様でありながら、その根底には共通する「日本をより良くするために何かをしたい」という強い意志が感じられました。

この日、この場所で交わった熱い思いに触れ、より一層今後の活動も頑張っていきたいとエネルギーをいただきました。

このような素晴らしいご縁をいただきましたことを、大変光栄に思っております。

古川様、関係者の皆様、この度は、貴重な機会を誠にありがとうございました。

Hello everyone,

This is 2023 Miss SAKE, Kotoko Yamada.

I would like to share with you my recent experience at the “Creating Tomorrow with Motohisa Furukawa” event, which took place on July 20th at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu’s “Houou” venue. I had the honor of attending this event alongside the 2023 Miss SAKE Semi-Grand Prix Yukie Morikawa.

The host of the event, Motohisa Furukawa, is a member of the congress and is from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. He also visited us at the Miss SAKE Aichi competition this year and gave us his warm support and encouragement.

Mr. Furukawa has been a dedicated supporter of Miss SAKE, and during his tenure as the State Minister in Charge of the National Strategy Bureau, he spearheaded the “ENJOY JAPANESE KOKUSHU” project, aiming to promote the domestic and international appreciation of Japanese sake and shochu.

Under this project, sake and shochu are defined as the condensed crystal of Japan’s climate, culture, and the people’s patience, diligence, and delicacy. With a joint effort between the public and private sectors, the project has been striving to enhance the recognition and export promotion of these magnificent “KOKUSHU” beverages.

Thanks to Mr. Furukawa’s efforts, sake has gained more recognition worldwide, which serves as a great motivation for all of us at Miss SAKE.

During the event, we had the privilege of leading the toast together with Mr. Furukawa. We also had the opportunity to talk about Miss SAKE’s various activities, the potential of sake as a diplomatic tool, and our connection with Mr. Furukawa.

Many attendees showed interest in our activities and offered warm words of encouragement, providing us with a significant boost for our future endeavors.

Throughout the day, various Japanese sake, including sake from Mr. Furukawa’s hometown of Aichi Prefecture, were served at the venue, and we had the chance to introduce sake to visitors at our booth.

At this event, individuals from diverse backgrounds and fields shared their fervent desires while enjoying Japanese sake. Despite the diverse perspectives, there was a common underlying theme – the strong determination to contribute to making Japan a better place.

As Miss SAKE, my mission is not only to promote sake and share Japan’s culture and charm with the world but also to inspire positive change throughout Japan. The energy and passion I witnessed that day have only reinforced my commitment to this mission.

I am deeply honored to have encountered such remarkable connections through this event. I extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Furukawa, the organizers, and everyone involved for this invaluable opportunity.
