Asami Sudo, 2018 Miss SAKE, joined the “kurabiraki” of Sasaki sake brewery in Rakuchu, Kyoto.

皆様、こんにちは。2018 ミス日本酒の須藤亜紗実です。
8月11日、京都洛中にある唯一の酒蔵様、佐々木酒造様の蔵開きに参加して参りました。
現在佐々木酒造様がある地は豊臣秀吉が自身の家として建てた聚楽第の跡地南端に位置し、その当時より、茶道を趣味とする豊臣秀吉も好む「良質な水」を誇っていたと言われております。
洛中には一時は、同じ京都の伏見を凌ぐ数の酒蔵様があったそうですが、その後その数は激減し、現在では佐々木酒造様が洛中唯一の酒蔵様となっておられます。
それゆえ、洛中の酒造りの伝統を守り続ける ｢洛中伝承｣の精神とともに、佐々木酒造様は現在も日本酒造りを続けていらっしゃいます。
今年で10年目の開催となった佐々木酒造様 夏の蔵開きには、京都市内より、例年この企画を楽しみにしておられる多くの方々がお集まりになっておりました。
佐々木酒造様の蔵開きは例年佛教大学のインターンの学生の方々が企画・運営を行なっていらっしゃるそうで、フルートのミニコンサートや利き酒、酒蔵見学そしてクイズ等の催しを私も皆様とともに楽しませていただきました。
また僭越ながら会の途中には、ミス日本酒としてご挨拶もさせていただき、参加者の皆様より多くの応援のお声を頂戴いたしましたことを大変光栄に思っております。
素晴らしい日本酒の数々、そして参加者の皆様とのお話を通じ、創業125年の歴史を誇り現在も多くの方々に愛され続けている佐々木酒造様の魅力を、深く感じることができるひと時を過ごさせていただきました。
佐々木酒造の皆様、そして関係者の皆様、この度は素敵な時間を誠に有難うございました。

Hello, everyone. This is Asami Sudo, 2018 Miss SAKE.
On August 11th, I joined the “kurabiraki” of Sasaki sake brewery in Rakuchu, Kyoto.
The place of Sasaki sake brewery is where the house of Mr. Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the famous general, samurai, and politician of the Sengoku period, was located. And the place was famous for its beautiful water as Mr. Toyotomi, who loved tea ceremonies, liked the place for its water.
In Rakuchu, Kyoto, there used to be more sake breweries than in Fushimi, which is famous as a sake brewing city, but now Sasaki sake brewery is the only brewery there. So, Sasaki sake brewery continues to create great sake on the philosophy of passing down the tradition of Rakuchu sake brewing.
To the “kurabiraki”, many people, who look forward to the annual events, came and enjoyed the special performances and recreations for the day such as flute performance, sake tasting, brewery tour and quiz tournament.
And it was an honor that I could introduce the activities of Miss SAKE and have lots of warm words of encouragement to our activities. I could spend a precious time talking with many people over great sakes of Sasaki sake brewery.
I extend my appreciation to people of Sasaki sake brewery and all the people involved in the event.
