Asami Sudo, 2018 Miss SAKE, joined a rice planting event at the HAKUTSURU Ginza Sky Farmstead located on the roof floor of Tokyo branch office of HAKUTSURU SAKE Brewing Co., Ltd.

皆様、こんにちは。2018 ミス日本酒の須藤亜紗実です。
6月2日、白鶴酒造銀座ビル屋上にある「白鶴銀座天空農園」にて白鶴錦の田植えが行われ、私も参加して参りました。
白鶴銀座天空農園は「銀座から日本酒文化の情報発信を」という理念のもとに作られた、その名の通り”都心の屋上の農園” です。こちらでは清酒の命であるお米を栽培するべく、2007年のプロジェクト開始当初から独自開発酒米「白鶴錦」の栽培をしていらっしゃいます。
実はこちらの天空農園には、以前ミス日本酒ファイナリストとして伺わせて頂きました。
その際農園長の小田様から、農園実現までの数々の困難や課題、そしてそれらを乗り越えてこられたこれまでの歩みについてお話を伺い、大変大きな感銘を受けたことを今でも強く記憶しています。今回はそんな天空農園での田植えに参加することができ、私自身大変喜ばしく感じております。
当日は素晴らしいお天気に恵まれ、参加者の皆様とともに「白鶴錦」を植えさせて頂きました。
そして、田植えの後は昨年収穫された「白鶴銀座天空農園」の白鶴錦を100%使用した「銀座天空農園の酒」を試飲させて頂きました。なんと今年は生産量の関係で約20本ほどしか一般販売されないのだそうです。
お米の旨みを感じられつつも、華やかな香りをまとい、口当たりはスッキリと爽やか。大変貴重なお酒「銀座天空農園の酒」の味わいは、やはりとても美味しかったです。
都会のビルの屋上でありながらも、「清酒の命」であるお米造りの大切さを感じることができる「白鶴銀座天空農園」。秋には豊かな穂を実らせた姿を見れることを、私も心待ちにしております。
白鶴銀座天空農園の皆様、そして関係者の皆様、この度は貴重な経験を誠に有難うございました。

Hello, everyone. This is Asami Sudo, 2018 Miss SAKE.
On June 2nd, I joined a rice planting event at the HAKUTSURU Ginza Sky Farmstead located on the roof floor of Tokyo branch office of HAKUTSURU SAKE Brewing Co., Ltd.
HAKUTSURU Ginza Sky Farmstead was founded in 2007 on the basis of the philosophy to promote SAKE culture from the center of Tokyo. On the farmstead, the special rice for SAKE brewing, HAKUTSURU NISHIKI, has been cultivated.
But, cultivating rice on the roof floor of building in Tokyo was not an easy way. They had to solve so many problems before succeeding in growing the rice crop.
Actually, I have been there as one of the 2018 Miss SAKE finalists this March, and listened to their long way till succeeding in growing the rice, which was quite impressive. So I was very glad to join the rice planting event at the HAKUTSURU Ginza Sky Farmstead this time.
By visiting the Farmstead and joining the rice planting event, I once again realized a cup of sake is made from lots of elements such as nature, regional society and power of people.
