2023 Miss SAKE Kotoko Yamada Participated in the Kanagawa 13 Sake Breweries Autumn Appreciation Festival

 

皆さま、こんにちは。

2023 Miss SAKE 山田琴子です。

敬老の日でもありました9月18日、すがすがしい秋晴れの中、神奈川中小企業センタービル14階 多目的ホールにて、「かながわ１３蔵元　秋の感謝祭」に司会進行として参加いたしました。

「かながわ１３蔵元　秋の感謝祭」は、神奈川県酒造組合 主催、小田急電鉄株式会社様、神奈川トヨタ自動車株式会社様の協力のもと、開催されました。コロナ禍による中止が続いており、当イベントは３年半ぶりの開催ということもあり、当イベントのチケットは、販売後すぐに売り切れてしまうという皆様が待ち望んでいたイベントとなりました。

神奈川県内外より合計400名の方がいらしてくださり、大変熱気と笑顔に溢れたイベントとなりました。中には、マイおちょこを持参の方や、酒造のロゴがついたバックなどをお持ちの方、日本酒大好きと書かれたお洋服をお召しの方もいらっしゃり、神奈川の日本酒をいただけるこの機会を大変楽しみに来てくださった気持ちが伝わってきました。

イベントは、神奈川県にございます13の酒造が全部揃い、蔵元様より直接試飲やお酒のお話を聞くことができるという大変貴重な会でした。

会は、神奈川県酒造組合 会長 黄金井康巳様のご挨拶と、乾杯の発声にて始まりました。

会場では、秋限定の「ひやおろし」をはじめとし、蔵元のおすすめのお酒が１３ブース並びました。私は、貴重なお酒が揃っている有料試飲のコーナーにておもてなしとお酒のご紹介をさせていただきました。最高級の大吟醸に、ビンテージの日本酒、袋絞りに、赤ワイン樽につけたお酒などあまりに貴重な日本酒のラインアップに、参加者の皆様が羨ましくなってしまうほどでした。

また、「おつまみコーナー」に、小田原のかまぼこで有名な「鈴廣」様がいらっしゃり、ぷちかま明太マヨ、ぷちかまチーズ、金目鯛のあげたいの３種類のおつまみをお配りしておりました。かまぼこと日本酒という伝統的な神奈川県の郷土品を合わせたマリアージュに参加者の皆様も大変喜ばれておりました。

会の終わりに、神奈川県酒造組合 副会長 鍵和田茂様より閉演のお言葉をいただき、イベントは大盛況の中、終了いたしました。

２時間の会の終了時には、13蔵全て制覇できて嬉しいと嬉しそうにお話くださった方もおり、ご来場の皆様にとって笑顔あふれる温かい２時間となりました。

 

大変素敵なイベントにご招待をいただきました神奈川県酒造組合の皆様、誠にありがとうございました。また、ご来場の皆様、ご参加くださりありがとうございます。是非、今後も神奈川県のお酒に注目いただけますと幸いです。

今後も、今回の素敵な思い出を胸により一層、神奈川県の日本酒のPRに励んでまいりたいと思います。

Hello everyone,

I’m the 2023 Miss SAKE Japan Kotoko Yamada.

On September 18th, which also happened to be Respect for the Aged Day, I had the honor of participating as the MC in the “Kanagawa 13 Sake Breweries Autumn Appreciation Festival” held at the 14th-floor Multipurpose Hall of the Kanagawa Small and Medium Enterprise Center Building.

This event had been postponed due to the pandemic, making it the first time it was held in three and a half years. Tickets for the event sold out almost immediately after they were released, demonstrating the anticipation and excitement of all those who had been waiting for it.

A total of 400 attendees, both from within and outside Kanagawa Prefecture,attended the event. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and countless smiles. Some attendees brought their own sake cups, others sported bags with sake brewery logos, and there were even those who wore clothing expressing their love for Japanese sake. It was evident that everyone had been eagerly looking forward to this opportunity to enjoy Kanagawa’s sake.

The event brought together all 13 sake breweries from Kanagawa, offering a rare chance for attendees to taste their sake and engage in direct conversations with the sake brewers aka “Kuramoto”.

The event began with an opening address by Mr. Yasumi Koganei, Chairman of the Kanagawa Sake Brewers Association, followed by the traditional sake toast.

The venue featured a lineup of sake, including limited-edition “Hiyaoroshi” for the autumn season, recommended selections from the breweries, and other valuable choices. I had the privilege of providing and introducing the sake in the paid tasting booth. The selection included top-tier Daiginjo, vintage sake, fukuroshibori, and sake aged in red wine barrels, making it an envy-inducing lineup that left attendees impressed.

Furthermore, at the “Snack Corner,” we had the pleasure of welcoming “Suzuhiro,” a famous kamaboko (fish cake) producer from Odawara. They offered three delightful snacks: Puchi-Kama Mentaiko Mayo, Puchi-Kama Cheese, and Agetai Kinmedai (deep-fried alfonsino). Participants thoroughly enjoyed the marriage of kamaboko, a traditional local product from Kanagawa, with Japanese sake.

During the event, I had the pleasure of interacting with attendees who expressed their support, saying things like, “I always read Miss SAKE’s blog!” or “I came here just to meet 2023 Miss SAKE.” It was truly heartwarming to feel that I could contribute to the development of Kanagawa’s sake, which I hold dear, through my involvement in this event. To all those who reached out to me, I sincerely thank you.

The event was featured in the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, which was published on September 19th.

At the end of the event, Mr. Shigeru Kagiwada, Vice Chairman of the Kanagawa Sake Brewers Association, delivered the closing remarks, and the event concluded amid great success.

By the end of the two-hour event, many attendees had managed to sample sake from all 13 breweries and left with happy smiles. I could sense the joy and satisfaction of everyone who had attended this heartwarming gathering.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Kanagawa Sake Brewers Association for their gracious invitation to this wonderful event. To all the attendees, thank you for joining us. I hope you’ll continue to support Kanagawa sake in the future.

With the cherished memories of this remarkable event in my heart, I am even more determined to contribute to the promotion of Kanagawa Prefecture’s sake in the days ahead.
