10月1日「日本酒の日」に開催されました日本酒造組合中央会様主催『オンラインで #全国一斉日本酒で乾杯！2020』に参加して参りました。
新米の収穫が行われ、日本酒造りが本格化する10月。かつて清酒造りの指標となる酒造年度（BY: Brewing Year）は10月1日から翌年9月30日とされており、10月1日は古くは「酒造元旦」として祝われておりました。
現在では醸造計画の多様化に伴い新BYは7月1日開始とされておりますが、古くから日本酒とのゆかりの深い10月1日は今でも「日本酒の日」として祝われています。
そんな日本酒の日の催しとして今年で６回目の開催を迎える『全国一斉 日本酒で乾杯！』は新型コロナ感染症の予防対策としてオンラインにて開催され、10月1日19時に全国で乾杯の発声をするべくYouTubeでのライブ配信を行いました。
私は第二部の鏡開きのセレモニーに参加をさせて頂きました。
そして19時の一斉乾杯に向けカウントダウンの後、日本酒造組合中央会会長 大倉治彦様のご発声に合わせ、皆様と乾杯をさせて頂きました。
またその後は日本酒造組合中央会 理事 宇都宮仁様、日本酒造組合中央会 需要開発委員長 七田健介様とともに、米・ワシントン、仏・パリと中継をつなぎ、日本国内のみでなく海外の方々とも「日本酒で乾杯」をさせて頂きました。

今年の『オンラインで#全国一斉日本酒で乾杯！2020』では、イギリスご出身のSAKE講師クリストファー・ヒューズ様とマレーシアご出身のシンガーソングライター アイリス・ウー様による「外国人から見た日本酒文化、日本酒の魅力、味わい方」の講座、株式会社Clear代表取締役CEO生駒龍史様と経済ジャーナリスト 伊藤洋一様も加わった、「現在の日本酒業界を取り巻く状況」のクロストークが行われ、さらに世界的に活躍されるアーティスト「桜men（さくらメン）」の皆様による圧巻のパフォーマンスも披露されました。
この度『オンラインで#全国一斉日本酒で乾杯！2020』に参加させて頂き、現在日本のみならず世界でも注目を集めている日本酒のエネルギー、そして求心力を改めて実感することができました。
乾杯には、神様の前で皆が心を一つにする願いが込められています。
人との出会いが制限される今、SNSやインターネットを駆使し、世界中の皆様と酒縁を紡いでいけることの喜びを心の底から感じました。
自然の恩恵、農家や蔵元の皆様の労力と技術の結晶である日本酒。
いつの時も変わらず私たちを魅了してくれる日本酒を美味しくいただけることへの感謝を忘れずに、「日本酒で乾杯」の輪を日本全国へ、そして世界へと広めてゆけますよう、Miss SAKEとして今後も精進して参りたいと思っております。
オンラインで全国、全世界からご参加くださいました皆様、そして関係者の皆様、この度は誠に有難うございました。

Hello, everyone. This is Shihori Matsui, 2020 Miss SAKE Japan.
On October 1st, the SAKE Day, I joined the Online all Japan Kampai event broad casted from Ikebukuro.
There are two reasons why October 1st is known as SAKE Day.
Firstly, in ancient history brewers began sake brewing in October.
Secondly it is related to the zodiac, and the Chinese character of SAKE.
Each zodiac is also applied to each month, and the zodiac for October is “酉”, which is similar to the left hand side of a Chinese character “酒” (Sake). The kanji “酉” originally means sake jar or sake itself.
Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, a special Kampai event was held, which was live streamed on Youtube.
At the event I have attended the Kagami-Biraki ceremony praying for good sake brewing of this year.
Following the Kampai call by Mr. Haruhiko Ohkura, the president of Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association, JSS, we made a celebration toast together with the people online.
After that together with Mr. Hitoshi Utsunomiya and Mr. Kensuke Sichida also from JSS, we connected ZOOM with Paris and Washington D.C, to hold a toast together.
During the event, a seminar of how Sake is interpreted overseas was held by Mr. Christopher Huse, Sake teacher originally from the UK, and Ms. Aileen Wu, a singer song writer from Malaysia.
Furthermore, Mr. Ryuji Ikoma, CEO of Clear Ltd. Co. and Mr.Youichi Itoh, Economic Journalist joined the free talk.
World famous Japanese music performer “Sakura men” held an amazing Wadaiko (Japanese styled drum) performance.
It was my greatest pleasure to have a toast with everyone in Japan and people from all around the world on [SAKE Day].
With a gratitude to nature and work of farmers and brewers, I would like to continue to try our best to share the greatness of SAKE and Japanese culture.
